Nutrition advice that knows a thali.

An Indian nutrition app for the food people already eat: dal, roti, sabzi, in household portions. We built the app, the backend and the food corpus that every answer is read from.

00> ABOUT THE PRODUCT

What IDYORA is

IDYORA is a nutrition, lifestyle and wellness app for people in India who want to eat better without giving up the food they grew up with. It builds a plan around dal, roti, sabzi and the regional, seasonal dishes already on the table, instead of handing over a Western meal template.

The daily loop is small on purpose: a short check-in on how you feel, a plan for the day, and gentle tracking of water, steps, sleep and meals. Photograph the fridge and it suggests what to cook from what's there. Ask a question and the answer comes from a curated Indian food corpus, with calorie and macro figures read from verified nutrition tables rather than written by a model.

It is a wellness app, not a medical one. Plans follow published dietary guidance from ICMR-NIN, carry clear disclaimers, and never promise to cure or treat anything.

// WHAT IT DOES

01

Personalised Indian plans

Plans for goals like healthy weight, skin and hair, built on dal, roti and sabzi: the food you already cook.

02

Habit tracking

Water, steps, sleep and meals. Gentle daily logging, with a weekly view that shows small habits adding up.

03

AI recipe helper

Take a photo of your fridge or pantry and it suggests recipes you can cook from what you already have, in line with your plan.

04

Gentle workouts

Yoga, face yoga and brisk walks, about four simple days a week, matched to your goal. No gym needed.

05

With you on hard days

A kind check-in each day. When the day feels heavy, the plan shrinks to small steps you can actually do.

06

Lifestyle first, always

It works with your culture, cravings and routine instead of fighting them, one small change at a time.

AI> HOW AN ANSWER IS MADE

Retrieved, then cited.

The assistant answers only from a curated Indian food corpus held in the same Postgres database, and shows where each answer came from. When a dish isn't in the corpus, it says it doesn't know instead of making something up.

Is two rotis with dal enough protein for lunch?
Roughly 13–16 g, depending on how thick the dal is. Adding a bowl of curd brings it to about 20 g. From the IDYORA food corpus

> HOW IT SHIPPED

// THE CHALLENGE01

What did IDYORA need?

Indian eating does not survive a calorie tracker designed around Western portions and packaged food, and a nutrition assistant that invents a dish is worse than no assistant at all.

// THE APPROACH02

How did Altacee build IDYORA?

One Flutter codebase for both stores over a self-managed FastAPI and Postgres backend, with pgvector and ParadeDB holding an Indian food corpus in the same database. Every AI answer is retrieved from that corpus and cited back to it rather than generated free-hand.

// THE OUTCOME03

What did IDYORA get?

Questionnaire, plan and daily tracking ship as one loop, with photo-based logging on top. Guidance stays grounded in real dishes and real portions, which is the only version of this product worth trusting.
